Mission

SOVHEN Uganda is struggling for a better quality of life and increased life expectancy for orphans and other vulnerable groups living in difficult circumstances.

We will serve in purpose through munno mukabi a form of  community dialogue with the right holders/claimers themselves, duty bearers at individual, household, community, government, local government, religious, higher institutional of learning, private sector, media and  international level building on existing community channels, their structures and networks, their resources and opportunities

Goal

SOVHEN Uganda aims to organize orphans and other vulnerable groups living in difficult circumstances in hard to reach urban slum areas and rural areas through munno mukabi a form of  community dialogue , build solidarity and cooperation among the target group, promote their economic and social development and improve their organizational ability.

Our Objectives

• To uplift the economic status of orphans and other vulnerable groups through the creation of self managing and self sustaining groups to enable the target group control their own development.
• To improve the participation of orphans and other vulnerable groups in education through formal and non formal primary education, post primary education and training; adult literacy programmes and awareness raising
• To improve the health and nutrition conditions of orphans and other vulnerable groups through health and nutrition education, improved sanitation and safe water, home gardening
• To instill in the orphans and other vulnerable groups the love of God, the creator and love of one another. Bearing in mind that people who know God, shall be strong and do good things and that with God anything is possible
• To maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct, productive use of resources, and interpret the charter by law and related documents.
